Food and cooking tips

Microwave Tip : Use your microwave as often as possible in the summer. You'll be more comfortable and save on air conditioning costs.

Try Eating Raw Food : Your body needs time to adjust and clean itself. Start including more fresh fruit, green salad, and green juice in your meals. Cut back on meat, dairy products, and cooked starchy foods. Try eating all raw one day per week, then two days. Or eat only two cooked foods per meal, then only one. You'll feel the difference.

Losing weight

The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index weight loss program is based on the glycaemic index, a list of types of food and a score representing the speed with which the carbs of the food type gets transformed to glucose in your body. The claim is that slow acting foods (ie with a low Gi number), will keep you feeling full for longer and mean that you can consume fewer food without feeling you are always hungry.
It's also very good for diabetes sufferers, as the low GI types of food are useful in reducing increases in blood glucose amount.
