Low calorie diet

In simple terms, low calorie diet depends on the fact that if you intend to achieve weight loss, it is essential to eat less calories than you actually use.

So what is a calorie?
The calorie is a unit for measuring food's ability to produce heat and energy. The 'calorie' is the the amount of energy required to raise one cubic centimeter of water by one degree centigrade. If your meal has more calories, then it will gives you a larger amount of energy when your body converts it.

Low-cal food types include cabbage, cabbage, melon, steak and burger based meals, and white eggs.

1cupflour
1/2teaspoonbaking soda
1cupquick oats
1/2teaspooncinnamon
1/2cupsugar
2eachegg whites
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/3cupkaro syrup, light, or dark
1/2teaspoonbaking powder
1teaspoonvanilla
1/2cupraisins

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray. In large bowl combine dry ingredients. Stir in egg whites, corn syrup and vanilla until well mixed, add raisins. (Batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until firm. Do not overbake. Remove on wire rack to cool. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

Variation: use molassas for half of the syrup and add 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/4 teaspoon ginger, it makes a spicy cookie.


Each cookie contains: 0gr fat, omg cholesterol, 60 calories, 1 gr protein, 65 mg sodium, 13 gr carbohydrates.
