The South Beach diet is a diet system created by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that dieters should be eating "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston developed his dietary regime as an aid to patients with heart conditions, as a result of his detailed study of scientific studies on other nutritional studies.
Good foods include, canadian bacon, skinless poultry, fish, provolone cheese, pistachio nuts, nonfat yoghurt and some vegatables, such as green beans, eggplant and water chestnuts.

500 g Strawberries

1 md Green apple

Juice of 1 lime 1 3/4 c Sugar

2 tb Grand marnier

Wash & hull strawberries. Peel, core & finely chop apple. Add lime juice & let stand covered for 30 minutes. Microwave the fruit & juice for 4 minutes on high. Add sugar, stir & microwave 35 minutes on high, stirring every 10 minutes. Stand five minutes, pour into warm sterile jars. Seal. Letts, "Jams, Pickles & Chutneys"
